About us
Our story, our mission – get to know us better
We are a leading company in the delivery, maintenance, repair, optimization, and improvement of power and process plants in the field of rotary and reciprocating machines, boilers and process furnaces, as well as their auxilliary equipment and systems.

Who we are
Turbomehanika d.o.o. Kutina, is Croatian company founded in 1994, specializing in the maintenance and repair of turbomachinery (turbines, pumps, and compressors) and their associated equipment and systems. For thirty years, relying on expertise, experience, and a strong reputation in the power sector, we have proudly expanded our capabilities in line with modern trends across regional markets, always striving for excellence. Known for our technical proficiency and high‑quality work, we have built our skills through collaborations with partners of all sizes, consistently delivering top‑tier services and innovative solutions.
Starting out with the maintenance of turbomachinery, we soon expanded our activities to monitoring and protection systems (1995) and the power sector (1996). In 1998, we built our headquarters, and in 2013, a workshop fully adapted to our operations.
By building increasingly strong, exclusive, and complex partnerships with leading international companies, Turbomehanika has grown into a key competitor in the transformation of the industry and in setting new standards in the energy sector. For example, in 2005 we entered into a partnership with Baker Hughes – Bently Nevada, a global leader in monitoring systems. In 2007 we were nominated for the Golden Kuna, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce’s annual award for business excellence and contribution to the national economy, and on several occasions we received the Golden Kuna as the most successful small company in Sisak‑Moslavina County.
2014. we completed our largest project: the installation of a Bently Nevada monitoring, protection, and diagnostics system at the Pančevo Refinery (NIS; one of the most complex systems of its kind in the world), along with the delivery and installation of a turbine compressor control system on the three most critical turbo‑lines.
The majority of our experts gained their professional experience at INA–Petrokemija Kutina, a prominent company operating 55 steam turbines (ranging from 37 kW to 35 MW), 15 large centrifugal compressors, three axial compressors, three gas turbines, eight screw compressors, 20 fans and blowers, and nearly 800 centrifugal pumps. Even at that time, we were actively involved in every stage of the process—from installation and commissioning to maintenance and operational optimization—with a particularly strong focus on maintaining the turbomachinery of the Ammonia‑2 plant, INA’s most complex facility. Through this work, we developed invaluable competencies that today form the backbone of our business.
To keep pace with the latest industrial practices and continue delivering top‑level results, we invest continuously in education and professional development. Many of our employees have completed a wide range of specialized training programs and technical seminars, mostly abroad. We are trained to work with Bently Nevada vibration‑analysis equipment, machinery magnetism‑measurement devices, demagnetization tools, and other instruments for measuring and analyzing machine vibrations, as well as in the use of computer‑based diagnostic systems. In addition to managing, supervising, and overhauling rotating equipment, we also have extensive experience in:
- Analysis of machine vibration behavior
- Identifying the causes of machine malfunctions and eliminating them
- Organizing and carrying out preventive and routine machine maintenance
- Detecting shaft‑related, electromagnetically induced currents in machinery and eliminating their root causes
- Developing software for evaluating turbocompressor performance
- Overhauling reciprocating machines
- Maintaining and overhauling centrifugal and other types of pumps
- Repair and maintenance of instrumentation
- Thermodynamic calculations of machinery
- Design, installation, and commissioning of monitoring, protection, and diagnostic systems for rotating machinery
- Non‑destructive testing (NDT)
- Design and maintanance of power systems
